Budapest, Hungary—Ambassadors for Peace were invited to a presentation of the principles guiding UPF. The program, held on October 1, 2023, at the Peace Embassy in Budapest, was attended by 11 already appointed Ambassadors for Peace as well as four candidates. It was organized jointly by the Hungarian chapters of UPF and Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP), an affiliated organization.
The presentations were on important topics such as the purpose of human life, which was discussed by Gabriella Papné Dancsó from WFWP.
The session on the origins of conflict was led by Péter Mészáros, the UPF-Hungary secretary general. It was also important for the participants to learn the most important steps to restore the original ideal, which were presented by Erzsébet Sturmné Tomka, president of UPF-Hungary.
The discussions with the candidates gave us the opportunity to exchange ideas and get to know each other's views. We had a very pleasant time together, and we are glad that the participants found the program useful and that there were some ideas they can use in their daily life.
The event was closed by Katsuyo Bendzsa, the president of WFWP-Hungary, who with kind words inspired the participants to continue to live for the sake of others.
