Lima, Peru –The national office of the International Association for Peace and Development (IAPD) hosted a prayer breakfast for religious leaders from around the nation and a visiting delegation of the Orthodox Apostolic Catholic Church, headed by His Holiness Nicolas 1, Orthodox Catholic Patriarch of the Nations, on November 3, 2023 in Lima. The delegation included representatives from the United States, France, Morocco, Chile and Ecuador.
The prayer breakfast was organized by UPF-Peru President Trevor Jones, with the support of Secretary General Jaime Fernandez Tupac and former congressman Pastor Orestes Sanchez Luis, Secretary-General of IAPD-Peru.
During the meeting, UPF’s “Response and Call to Action on Israel and Gaza” was shared with all those present.
Each religious leader then offered a prayer and spoke about the need for unity among all religions in these difficult times. His Holiness Nicolas 1 was appointed as an Ambassador for Peace and pledged his support for IAPD.
