Sao Paulo, Brazil – More than 120 participants, the vast majority of whom were pastors and religious leaders, gathered on November 25, 2023 in Sao Paulo, to honor ten pastors as Ambassadors for Peace. Each of the pastors has a career of exemplary service in his or her community.
To begin the event, an uplifting atmosphere was created with a musical performance by the Hyo Jeong Band. Dr. André Rocha, secretary general of UPF-Brazil, explained the contributions of the award recipients. Ten religious leaders were named as Ambassadors for Peace.
Pr. Marcelo da Silva, head of the Interreligious Association for Peace and Development in Sao Paulo, gave congratulatory remarks. The award presentation was followed by refreshments in a joyful spirit of fellowship among all those present.
