Vladivostok, Russia – To celebrate the New Year 2024, about 130 adults and children braved the freezing temperature of -13 degrees Celsius to take part in a Peace Road-New Year's Costume Race in Vladivostok on January 1, 2024. The organizer of the event was Ambassador for Peace Dmitry Yakukhny, with support from UPF-Vladivostok.
After a short warm-up, the children's 1000-meter race commenced. After that, the adults set out on a three-kilometer route along the coast of the Sea of Japan. The first three boys and girls to complete the race were awarded with certificates and commemorative medals. Adult winners received a cup and an invitation to participate in future races.
Thanks to the partnership and sponsorship of the Department for the Development of Physical Culture and Mass Sports of the Vladivostok City Administration, the Supra restaurant, the Hans restaurant and sweet gifts from the Primfood group of companies, the race turned out to be interesting, bright and spectacular!
Participants agreed that celebrating the New Year on the shores of the Sea of Japan in good company can become an excellent family tradition, especially in support of the Peace Road peacekeeping campaign.
