Tirana, Albania—The president of the Muslim community of Montenegro was awarded an Ambassador for Peace certificate by UPF-Albania.
Rifat Fejzić was recognized for his many years of promoting peace and cooperation in his capacity as a religious leader in Montenegro.
The special meeting was held on September 26, 2023, at the UPF Peace Embassy in Tirana. Mr. Fejzić was accompanied by Sead Šahman, the president of the Youth Forum of Montenegro’s Bosniak Party and a longtime Ambassador for Peace and friend of UPF.
Two members of the UPF-Albania board were present: Bujar Topçiu, the chair for Albania of UPF’s Interreligious Association for Peace and Development (IAPD), and Manjola Vasmatics, the president of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), an affiliated organization.
Gani Rroshi, the secretary general of UPF-Albania, was there, as were two spiritual advisers to FFWPU, Rev. Inpyo Moon from Korea and Tibor Krebsz from Hungary.
After a warm and constructive discussion about spirituality and the important role of religion in building a peaceful world, which is the hope and desire of all people, Rev. Inpyo Moon and Mr. Topçiu awarded the Ambassador for Peace certificate to Mr. Fejzić.
