Buenos Aires, Argentina—UPF-Argentina appointed Daniel Lew as Ambassador for Peace for his community commitment and for fostering education and environmental awareness after planting another tree in Nations Arboretum at Israel Park (Buenos Aires), on September 29, 2023.
The certificate was given during the event, on a beautiful afternoon in the ecological project that encourages encounter, dialogue and sustainability, supporting the International Day of Peace 2023. The event was attended by numerous officials, including Claudia Mojica, UN resident coordinator in Argentina; Gustavo Guillermé, founder and president of the Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue World Congress “A Path Towards Peace”; and Gustavo Libardi, president of the Church of Scientology in Argentina.
Miguel Werner, UPF-Argentina president, with his wife Alba Luz Tangarife, followed by Gustavo Guillermé and Gustavo Libardi, both Ambassadors for Peace, gave the certificate to Daniel Lew, who has a long history in Jewish community institutions, and currently is president of Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael (KKL) Argentina, a 120-year-old organization that has been planting millions of trees around the world.
On October 12, 2023, UPF-Argentina supported KKL-Argentina and the Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue World Congress “A Path Towards Peace” during the interreligious, intercultural event at Plaza Italia (Buenos Aires) to honor the victims of the terrorist attack on Israel. There, representatives of different organizations, diplomats and religious people lit candles, offered floral tributes and offered a minute of silence (*).

Dirigente comunitario y ambiental reconocido Embajador
UPF Argentina reconoció como Embajador para la Paz a Daniel Lew, por su compromiso comunitario y fomentar la educación y la conciencia ambiental luego de la plantación de otro árbol en el llamado Arboreto de las Naciones en la Plaza Israel (Buenos Aires), el 29 de septiembre de 2023.
La entrega del diploma se realizó tras el acto en un mediodía primaveral en el proyecto ecológico que propicia el encuentro, el diálogo y la sustentabilidad, en adhesión al Día Internacional de la Paz 2023. Contó con la presencia de autoridades de distintas entidades, entre ellas, Claudia Mojica, coordinadora Residente de la ONU en Argentina; Gustavo Guillermé, fundador y presidente del Congreso Mundial de Diálogo Intercultural e Interreligioso “Una senda hacia la paz”; y Gustavo Libardi, presidente de la Iglesia de Scientology Argentina.
Miguel Werner, presidente de UPF Argentina, junto a su esposa Alba Luz Tangarife, acompañados por sendos Embajadores para la Paz Gustavo Guillermé y Gustavo Libardi, entregaron el diploma a Daniel Lew, de extensa trayectoria en instituciones comunitarias judías, siendo actualmente presidente en Argentina de Keren Kayemet LeIsrael (KKL), una organización de más de 120 años, que lleva plantados millones de árboles en el mundo.
UPF Argentina acompañó a KKL Argentina y al Congreso Mundial de Diálogo Intercultural e Interreligioso “Una senda hacia la paz” el 12 de octubre 2023 en el encuentro interreligioso e intercultural en Plaza Italia (Buenos Aires) para honrar a las víctimas del atentado terrorista contra Israel, donde representantes de distintas organizaciones, diplomáticos y religiosos encendieron velas, colocaron ofrendas florales y realizaron un minuto de silencio (*).
