UPF Teaches Russians How to Go Green

Voronezh, Russia—About 1,000 people have learned to “make green decisions” by playing a game that was created by the UPF-Russia coordinator of environmental programs.

Working with the local environmental information center and a volunteering center, Elena Knyazeva, who is also the UPF representative in this southern Russian city, was awarded a grant financing 20 programs from May to September 2023 under the title “Accept Green Solutions!"

The programs have taken place in public parks, with children and adults playing a game in which they follow a route and learn about separating waste, developing environmental habits and making “green decisions” in everyday life.
